Nine Nickels [Jun. 25th, 2006|06:12 pm]
[acting | contemplative]
[listening |Not That Kind of Thing - The Wedding Singer]

I'm tellin' ya, man, each third blink is slower.
The '60s were not good to you, were they?
- Fillmore and Sarge from Cars

So today is really the first day since school got out- since way before school got out, since I was gonna relax and hang out with people the weekend before but couldn't- that I've actually been home and relaxed and good times. Don't get me wrong- I have loved the last week. But it's been psycho. I slept in till like 1 today because I honestly hadn't slept much more than 5 hours a night (which is tiny for me) and have been waking up a lot, since like a month before classes got out. Annnd I still need to got running for cross country. Maybe I'll go tonight or tomorrow... I dunno.

Anyway, Monday Kees and I went down to Pike Place market and got lost and walked around and generally had good times. We got delectable food from the french bakery down there, it was soooooo unbelievably good. Window-shopped through the marke and fifth ave and whatnot, and got makeovers- that was funny. Then we had to walk up to Capitol Hill to get a ride from my mom. Our legs hurt so astoundingly badly... but it was good fun and a good workout. Then I went to Liz's paper-burning party, which I thought was good times even if some- like Katie- hated it. I thought the guys were cool, if not quite my style. Anyway, that was fun playing with fire anyhoo.

Tuesday was going to Wild Waves and the awards BBQ with those cool/geeky kids I coached for SO. It was pretty good fun, even if it was a little cold and I got a bit scraped up. But it wasn't as much fun as it used to be- and everyone else our age that was there was working. It kinda isn't as much fun when you're either over 15 or over 5'3". But it was still an okay time, and Katie and I made way cool spies. Sebastian's house is so much cooler than I ever believed somewhere that kid grew up could be.

Then it was time for Kelsey and my roadtrip. To Spokane. Which we realized was lame but it was still extremely good times and no parents for a while.
Highlights:
- the cute Albertsons guy in Ellensburg
- BACKWARDS!
- Singing to the stereo
- Getting a crack in my windshield... and naming it Herman... and deciding it was on crack...
- Teasing Matt (bug eyes! Haha)
- Getting lost in Spokane
- Playing Killer Bunnies
- Goofing off in the kayak (which I SO got the hang of steering... even though I was more interested in soaking Kels)
- Being fascinated for hours by nine nickels
- Playing with bubbles
- Driving the boat/Getting drenched by Kels when she was driving
- Watching Daily Show/Colbert Report/Bad movies/making fun of all of the above
- Southern accents on the way home.... hahaha
- all sorts of other good times/talks/fun that I can't remember!

Sweet Seventeen [Feb. 12th, 2006|12:28 pm]
[acting | energetic]
[listening |Mr. Sunshine - Lori McKenna]

Oh, he's totally fine having his personal freedom slowly stripped away, as long as he's completely unaware that it's happening. Just like a true American.
- Lorelai on Gilmore Girls

Thanks to everyone who made my birthday awesome. Thanks to my parents and my godmother, who were there the whole time. To Katie, Carolyn, Kelsey and Lisa (and others too!) who helped make it really awesome the whole day. To Wayne, who was a way cool Tolo date. To everybody.

It wasn't the greatest start, I got up early for solo/ensemble stuff, realized I hadn't done a bunch of things, and the place wasn't even open when I got there. I got scared for my solo, but it went ok- I pretty much did everything technically right, even though my tone wasn't great cause I was nervous. The judge and the other players freaked me out a bit though, and I ended up crying. But I made it, and I ended up getting a II+ (basically a "pretty good").

Everyone made me laugh and cheered me up though. Katie and my duet went about as badly as we thought it would, but I think we're the proud owners of the lowest score that judge gave. It did make me decide, though, that I'm going to make sure that everything I do next year is something I really want to do and put a lot of work into.

I saw Evan's bassoon solo and Joe's trombone solo, and they were absolutely amazing. Those kids are simply awesome. So were all the symphony kids- I swear, I knew like half the people there just with symphony. The judge we had for Clarinet Choir was psycho, but we laughed at her and her ugly, sparkly purple pantsuit.

After all that I went out and found that they'd decorated up my car and Katie gave me a birthday/christmas present, which I loved, and I headed home to watch the first part of Blade Runner, then got all fancy-schmancied up for Tolo. High heels and dresses may not always feel comfy, but it's a great feeling to feel all pretty once in a while.

Wayne, Katie and Justin turned up and we headed to a cool dinner and then ended up going back to my house and watching part of Batman Begins because Kenmore Lanes was way full. The dance was pretty fun, and I got to hang out with a lot of people I haven't seen in a while. We headed back early cause I'd been up for something like 18-19 hours and was way tired, but Wayne was ok with it, for which I thank him.

When I got back I found a big sign with "Happy" on my door, then "Birthday" inside and "Kailey" on my bedroom door- Lisa and Caro had decorated my room while I was gone, and now there're ribbons hanging down from the ceiling and other cool stuff. I love those two, seriously. They are awesome.

It was a great bday, I have to say. And I don't agree with Emerson and Thoreau, I think that sometimes help from something/someone outside ourselves is the best thing there could be.

The bus has RED SEATS! [Jan. 17th, 2006|06:51 pm]
[acting | dorky]
[listening |Currents - Sleeping At Last]

Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we.
- George W. Bush

Well, the long weekend was definitely interesting. Thursday night I went to the wonderful and amazing musical review, shame on you if you didn't see it cause it was way cool and I'm jealous of everyone's mad music talents.

And then came the weekend, when I got even more jealous of people's mad musical talents. Kels and I headed off with the rest of symphony to Warm Beach camp, which, sadly, is neither warm nor a beach. I hung out a ton with Hillary, Tim, Brandon, Chris, Ben and the rest, and I roomed with Anna. Which was nice. We also played for somewhere in the vicinity of 12 hours over 2 days. Not so nice. My hands started cramping up, my mouth still has cuts, and my thumb was all swollen and wouldn't really move... oh, the fun of playing a wind instrument.

But that said, it was still really fun. Symphony people are hella crazy and fun to hang out with... even if Brandon's kind evil sometimes and Hillary and I are like the world's biggest klutzes. She swears the chairs attacked her. I just was being stupid and burned myself on the fireplace... oh well. Still pretty funny.

And I still have to buy Liz's present. I'm such a horrible friend, but I totally haven't been shopping since I went after-Christmas shopping with her... which wasn't really a good place to buy her a present. Maybe if I finish the scarf I'm attempting to knit, and it doesn't look bad, I'll give it to her with some sort of gift card/big, huge apology.

And I asked Wayne to Tolo, and he said yes, so that should be fun, especially once we finally figure out how big the group's gonna be. I hope Jazzmyn asks John F. though, he's so awesome, but finding a place for him to stay the night could be interesting...

Waffle's very happy [Nov. 16th, 2005|09:03 pm]
[acting | bouncy]
[listening |Sweet Child O' Mine - Guns N' Roses]

Love: The irresistable desire to be irresistably desired.
- Mark Twain

Aaaand no one will get the title quote unless they watch Gilmore Girls (yes, it's girly and corny but I love that show).

Wow. Lots has happened. I lettered in Cross Country (YAAAAAAAYYYYYY!) and I was really happy to see a bunch of my friends get things too. Congratulations to everyone! I think I'm going running this weekend with Kelsey though- I've felt so lazy not running every day.

Got midterm grades today-
Spanish 200: A
Chemistry: A
Calculus: A
AP History: A-
Band: A
Honors English: A

So pretty good, all in all. And the symphony concert's Monday, which should be interesting. Tim (aka Hillary and my Boy Next Chair) made an interesting discovery: almost all gospel songs have everything based off the letter "g"- God, gospel, groove, guide, good, etc. Yup. Symphony practices are excitement, let me tell you.

And I got to talk to Taylor, which was fun. He's trying to recruit me for Yale, I swear, but it's fun to talk to him anyhoo, and tease him about his lack of a love life :P

Working on maybe a few volunteering things, but none have really come through yet except that I'm gonna coach junior high S.O. again this year. Maybe working on this organization of Taylor's (he's been plotting to get me to help him) and maybe at Hopelink, I dunno. It's so weird- I go crazy with all the work when I have cross country and everything, but without it I feel lazy and bored... I'm a little psycho, methinks. Oh well.

But I might be able to get a letterman's jacket for Christmas! Yay!

Tomorrow's a late morning, which rocks but sucks for sophomores. Haha. Sucks for them! (since Link Crew I've found I have a certain, lurking, evil predjudice against sophomores. And it doesn't even really bother me)

And HP IS ON FRIDAY! I am so insanely, nerdily excited!

This car protected by an anti-theft sticker [Sep. 15th, 2005|07:51 pm]
[acting | touched]
[listening |Everyday I Love You Less and Less - Kaiser Chiefs]

Everyone can run 100 meters. It's the next 4900 that count.
- Back of our XC shirts

Bwahah. The meet was fun today. My time was pretty bad, but I didn't care and I had fun running with Cara. She is simply the coolest. And I can totally not wait for Seaside, it should be hella fun like last year as long as Clayton's not being a pain about marching band stuff. The spaghetti feed was fun last night too.

And I need to figure out what the heck I'm doing for Homecoming at some point. Preferably something that doesn't involve Melissa threatening me with a curling iron again like last year (that girl is a beauty nazi, I swear to god). Katie said she's going stag, but I think if I don't have a date I'll just go and party with people instead of going to the dance.

Anybody have a good idea of what they're doing for IRU for Hansen? I'm trying to finish all the other stuff I have right now, but at this point I think I'm gonna try to do Pride and Prejudice, I read it over the summer...

And I'm sad cause I can't watch Veronica Mars tonight. It's a cool show, even if no one else knows what it is.

Duuuuude [Sep. 5th, 2005|07:19 pm]
[acting | artistic]
[listening |Jesus Walks - Kanye West]

STUPIDITY KILLS
...but not often enough.
- Mr. Hansen's sign

I love that sign. It was hilarious, we got into that class and Katie was like, "Duuuuude- look at that sign! It's so totally awesome!" And it is. It's totally my opinion, too.

Anyway, I think my classes may kill me off with work, but this may be the first year ever where I think I like all my teachers and (generally) classes.

Spanish: I don't actually know what Zahajko's like, cause he hasn't been in, but his dad kicks ass (we had him as a sub) so I hope he's okay. And I have Kelsey, Melissa, Carolyn and Tegan in that class. And Ben Nicholas is in it. I love that kid. There're a lot of dumbasses in it too, but I'll live.

Chem: Hill seems pretty cool, and she said we might be able to blow stuff up if we check with her and stuff. So definitely looking like fun.

Calc: I think it's gonna be hella hard, but we have a tiny class (it's like 18 people) and they're like all people I know and love. And Mr. Allan is just awesome.

US History: Probably the class I was least sure of, but Benson seems cool enough and a bunch of my friends are in it. And we're watching Pocahontas next week, heck yes.

Band: Is always cool. In our geeky way. I just hope we're as good as we were last year, we lost a lot of great seniors and got mediocre juniors and sophmores to replace them.

English: Hansen is so random. But he seems nice enough, even though his prompts might drive me crazy. And the Honors English people are so totally awesome anyway.

The game Friday was sweet, but I'm looking forward to this Friday when I can be a fan instead of a band member. Denny's was awesome, saw a bunch of the seniors and had fun with Misa, Katie, Duffy, Erica, Derek and Andy. And I saw Wayne, Cameron, Brandon and Alex.

I went shopping with Liz Saturday, then went home and watched Toy Story and Cinderella with her, Kees and Francesca (like the cutest four-year-old girl ever. And she speaks Italian and English. It's awesome).

And I stole this from Cameron.
1. Go here.
2. Pass it on.

Scheduleness [Aug. 30th, 2005|08:26 pm]
[acting | cranky]
[listening |Brighter Than Sunshine - Aqualung]

Education is very important. School, however, is another matter.

Well, I got my schedule yesterday. And waited in a godawful picture line. That thing was horrible.
And I got a parking pass. Woot.

1st: Spanish 200 - Zahajko
2nd: Chemistry - Hill
3rd: AP Calculus - Allan
4th: Honors US History - Benson
5th: Wind Ensemble - Clayton
6th: Honors English - Hansen

Yup. I'm in all the nerd classes. Go me.

And I am SO not happy about having to be at school at 6-f***ing-30 in the morning tomorrow. They should be NICE to their link leaders, dammit.

Back-dom [Aug. 12th, 2005|05:10 pm]
[acting | creative]
[listening |Jerk It Out - Ceasars]

If the pen is mightier than the sword, and a picture is worth a thousand words, how dangerous is a fax?
- Gregory Santo

The Law of Waiting: For each minute you are running late, the chances of being stuck behind a slow school bus or being caught by a train at a crossing increases exponentially.
Direct Corellation: When you are running on time, it is entirely likely you will be pulled over for speeding.

The second quote is totally my luck when driving. But beyond that, I'm back... most everyone probably knows that, I've just been too lazy to update. Go figure. Since I've been back, I went to XC camp- which was hella fun- and lots of practices, and have just hung out with people a lot. My mom also got her car, which means I got hers. Go me.

I also got a cell phone- 206-755-4125. So now I can actually get calls when I'm out and about (which is most of the time).

And last night Lisa, Kees, Justin and I went to the drive-in. It was way fun, even though Fantastic Four is a crappy movie. I think D-movies become B-movies in a drive-in. And then we had to go home partway through Stealth- which didn't look great, but looked better. Anyway, if somebody wants to go sometime (especially if there are non-crappy movies on) then tell me.

And lastly, I thought I'd put up a few pictures from Europe. I have yet to go through some of my other shots, but here are some from Venice. )

European Tour-ness [Jun. 23rd, 2005|06:12 pm]
[acting | hopeful]
[listening |I Predict A Riot - Kaiser Chiefs]

Evil will always triumph, because Good is dumb.
- Dark Helmet, Spaceballs

I'm headed off to Europe with symphony on Monday. It should be fun, but I'm really gonna miss everybody. I'll try to update or email or something, but I have no idea whether I'll get a chance.

If any of you might be interested in going to our send-off concert (yes, it's classical music. Get over it. We're good), it's on Sunday at 3:00 pm at the Shoreline Center Auditorium. Turn up and I will love you forever.

And I am peeved because my new Foo Fighters CD is not loading onto my iPod right. It sucks.

But I have gotten to spend most of my time since school got out at one party or another. So I guess I'll take what I can get :)

Folklife [May. 27th, 2005|10:12 pm]
[acting | excited]
[listening |Killing Me Softly - Fugees]

Christian, you may see me only as a drunken, vice-ridden gnome whose friends are just pimps and girls from the brothels. But I know about art and love, if only because I long for it with every fiber of my being.
- Tolouse, Moulin Rouge

Today was way fun. School was pretty much as boring as ever, but then after we got out Kees came over. We goofed off and played with temporary tatoos (it's fun, so sue us) and stuff, and then we went to Folklife with my parents. We had so much fun, just wandering around and talking and stuff. Soaking each other in the fountain. Having ice cream issues and running into each other. Watching the hippies (they're funny) and my parents try to swing dance (funnier). Discussing the dangers of seagulls. And the one dude's dancing (awesome). Then we got henna tatoos (they're way cool). They're really pretty, though the only time I think people will actually be able to see them is when we're wearing bathing suits (they're on the small of our backs). Oh well, it was all good. And the weather was so nice today, man. It rocked... even when we left at like 10, it was like 80 out.

*hiccup* (yeah, only Kees will get that)

Miho rocks my socks [Apr. 3rd, 2005|07:01 pm]
[acting | hopeful]
[listening |Your Song - Ewan McGregor]

She didn't quite take his head off... she made a Pez dispenser out of it...
- Dwight, Sin City

That was a good movie. And Miho kicked BUTT. She was soooo cool. And that was way fun, too, cause afterwards we (me, Wayne, Alex and Kayla, who I didn’t know before but is one cool chica) went to Red Robin and had like 4 rounds of fries and Wayne and Alex drank ketchup and... ya. Twas all good.

Then yesterday I sat on my butt and watched X-Men and Moulin Rouge. X-Men I’d seen before, so it was just for kicks, but Moulin Rouge is awesome, I can’t believe I’d never seen it before. Way fun movie. And somehow, it didn’t depress me like Cold Mountain did. Even though they’re both sad. Whatever. It was good. Anyone dissing romance movies can just go and die somewhere :P

Ewan McGregor has a beautiful voice, man. He is sooo hot. Lisa, you must come and watch that movie with me.

That night I went to Shay’s play. Hung out with Jared and saw Mr. Clayton there. Which was weird, but not bad. And we had mucho fun. You all must go see it, it’s fun. And Shay actually has a speaking part, she’s not just in the chorus this time. It was awesome, and Jared and I were cheering our lungs out.

Today I cleaned up my room and crap and worked on my English essay (which is crappy and I’m still not done with… screw it). Then Caro and Liz came over and we watched the Incredibles. Great, great movie. And then my uncle and aunt and little second cousin came over. They’re still here, but I’m avoiding them and saying I have homework. Which isn’t really a lie. So it’s all good.

Now are you happy, Caro and Kels? I posted again :P

Concert and Cough [Feb. 5th, 2005|10:31 pm]
[acting | tired]
[listening |Angel - Sarah McLachlan]

I’ll keep it short and sweet: family, religion, and friendship. These are the three demons you must slay if you wish to succeed in business.
- Monty Burns, The Simpsons

Thanks to all who dealt with my depressed, weirdo self a few days ago. It was not my best time, to say the least. And, after a bit of thought and discussion, it's been decided that probably most of the problems were a) not that big b) just compounding and c) accentuated because Cold Mountain is a good, but exceptionally depressing, movie.

Anyways, not too much has gone on. I spent today mostly on my couch downstairs finishing 1984, because I'm doing my IRU for English class on it and that's due Tuesday. I actually wrote up most of my IRU outline too, but now I'm pissed because I lost Rice's question sheet that I printed out a while ago and the #$%&ing BHS website redirects me when I want to go to his site. Stupid #$%^&#s don't know how to make a web page that works... idiots.

But beyond that, the day was pretty good. I stayed downstairs most of the time cause my dog is changing arthritis meds (yes, she's a drugged-up old doggie) and since she had to wait a while for her system to clean out all traces of the old meds before she had the new ones, she couldn't even go upstairs. So I stayed downstairs with her and my La-Z-Boy. Not too hard a life, actually. But I'm happy because tonight she finally came upstairs so I can stop worrying so much about her.

I have to play a concert with symphony tomorrow, which I'm not particularly excited for. I have a solo, but I dunno... I don't like having one that much. Freaks me out a bit. Especially cause I have a cough right now. But it should go pretty well... emphasis on "should." And I'm annoyed, because for the second year in a row my symphony has scheduled a concert on the day of the Superbowl. Not that I care that much this year (with the Eagles and Patriots, I find it hard to relly care) but still, it irks me. Oh well. I'll live, I guess.

And I have to get/make presents and cards for Katie, Justin and Wayne. Because all our birthdays are next week. Which is a little weird, but kinda cool too.

[acting | betrayed]
[listening |You Will Be My Ain True Love - Alison Krauss]

I should send you out with a shotgun more often.
- Ruby, Cold Mountain

I haven't cried in a long, long time. They say it's good for you. I can't bring myself to believe that something that feels so totally, utterly desperate and hopeless is good. It's too sick.

I watched Cold Mountain tonight. I'm not really sure how much I like it, I know it was a good movie in a lot of ways, but some of the stuff was just weird. And that, I believe, is the first time I've ever cried as a watch a movie. Only a little, but still... maybe it's because the idea of true love sort of depresses me right now, because I'm so far from it.

And I got an email from a friend, telling me he's having his birthday party on my birthday. He knows it's my birthday, and that I'm not doing anything myself because I didn't want people to be tired (yeah, including me) for solo/ensemble, which is the next day. And he expects me to come to his party. I feel horrible, but I told him I couldn't. I just can't, when I know that I wasn't even going to celebrate my own birthday, and that he knew and still put his party that day... It's like I don't even exist... I just feel betrayed. And not only by that, by a lot of the things and people around me. I'm starting to question who I can trust, and I never, ever want to have do that...

I feel like dirt. Lower than dirt. I feel like I'm some piece of hell, and should be returned down there for feeling about this the way I do and doing what I am...

Am I a horrible person?

I PASSED MY DRIVE TEST! I PASSED MY DRIVE TEST! HAHAHAHAHA! Take THAT, you stupid evil SOB of a government organization (I speak, of course, of the horror that is the DOL).

EXPLANATION: I went into the DOL yesterday, the day after I made my last post. They said they actually DID have open times soon, that they in fact had one the next day. So I said yes and took it. And passed. And totally didn't hear a thing the guys said after he said I passed, but I nodded complacently and looked nice so I don't think he cared.

I PPPPPAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSEEEEDDDD!

P.S. The thing in the quote? Ya, I haven't managed to do that. BOOYA!

I HATE THE DOL! [Jan. 25th, 2005|04:57 pm]
[acting | bitchy]
[listening |If You C Jordan - Something Corporate]

There is no nonsense so gross that society will not, at some time, make a doctrine of it and defend it with every weapon of communal stupidity.
- Robertson Davies

Stupid, evil DOL. I called today to see if I could schedule my drive test and all that jazz. What do they say? There are no times this week. I ask about two weeks from now. There is all of ONE time. Before school gets out, so I can't do it. And all through this the guy keeps telling me that Fridays are first come, first serve. Well la-de-frickin'-da, I already knew that (I didn't tell him though. I was still hopeful he was a decent human being). My dad says he doesn't want to take me in early on Friday, but since this Friday is like the ONLY Friday I don't have school, I'll probably spend it waiting outside the DOL.

Damn them.

True love is friendship - caught on fire.

I should say that I'm not quite happy, cause I have finals tomorrow and the day after and I still have to call for my driving test (I'm doing that tonight, I swear) and a couple of my friends have been way not happy. And that's not cool, and I feel dumb and sad myself because I can't make things better, I can just give them a hug and point out that it will get better.

Anyway, I went to Coach Carter on Sunday with Lisa and Nathan. Which was fun, even though the movie (which was pretty good overall) had a few points where you totally checked your watch and were like, "Is this done yet?" But it was a cool movie anyway, like almost any movie with Samuel L. Jackson. Cause he's just awesome.

Yesterday, Kels came over and we studied for physics for a while. Then we hung out, ate mac and cheese, watched Alias and got really hyper on Vanilla Cream Soda. All and all, it was a way good time. Then we went to symphony, and for once it was actually pretty decent, sectionals were ok and stuff and I actually got to see Hillary for the first time in forever (I totally have to go hang out with her ASAP) and I got along with Christian (for once) and all was good. Except that Sophia just changed schools, and she's feeling really lonely, so I have to hang out with her too (which isn't bad, she's cool, but it's sad cause she doesn't know anybody).

Anyway, today physics and english were fun (the whole voice tone thing in english was actually pretty funny). PE was crazy, cause Schaaf didn't tell us we still had one more day where we needed to suit down (evil, stupid freak) and so I had to borrow Misa's shorts. But it worked ok, and I'm totally taking a two-hour nap in there tomorrow. Math just... was. It's never really too different, except right now we have this big final hanging over us. Which is scary as all heck.

Band was cool, except I'm having issues with someone in there. Misa and I figured out today that those issues totally aren't even anger anymore, they're just apathy, because we really can't care positively or negatively that much for someone who's betrayed us and our trust on one too many occasions. But I have to deal with this kid a lot, and it can be hard to deal with sometimes. But it was ok, and David was funny. His haircut's friggin' horrible, but I don't want to tell him that, cause he's my buddy. Oh well.

Adios, and good luck to everyone on your finals. I'm just praying I pass them all.

LMAO. This is both pathetic (dude, if the only part of me that's sexy is my knees, I'm screwed) and funny as hell. Because my knees are all scarred up from doing hurdles and falling and lots of nice stuff, and I suck at looking innocent. So yeah. Suuuuure... quizzes really tell ya the truth. Uh-huh.

Anyhoo, I really shouldn't be on. I should be studying for my math and spanish tests tomorrow (wait- study for spanish? Weird idea... I don't think I'll do it until I know what my friends think). But I'm not. And I don't think I'm gonna. And I don't want to go to the basketball game, but I've got to for pep band. I wish band A would at least get the guys' games once in a while, the girls' games are boring as hell.

Oh well. I've got some other stuff, with a friend having problems and weird stuff like that... but oh well, I guess I just have to watch and give as much support as I can.

[listening |Another Perfect Day - American Hi-Fi]

You've bucked up royally.
- Zazu, The Lion King (stage version)

I went and saw the Lion King on the 2nd, and it was totally and utterly awesome. It's so cool to see and hear people dancing and singing, and it's really an experience. Zazu, Rafiki, young Simba, Nala and Mufasa were particularly great (it sounds like half the cast, I know, but they really were that good!). The stuff they added was really fun too, and the costumes rocked my socks. Simba (the older one) was hot, too, which was a definite plus for someone you're watching onstage...

This is weird, but I'm bored and trying to avoid my math homework. Except I have to finish it if I want to watch any of Alias tonight (it's the premiere! I'm SOOO excited)

FEBRUARY:
Abstract thoughts. Loves reality and abstract. Intelligent and clever. Changing personality. Attractive. Sexy. Temperamental. Quiet, shy and humble. Honest and loyal. Determined to reach goals. Loves freedom. Rebellious when restricted. Loves aggressiveness. Too sensitive and easily hurt. Gets angry really easily but does not show it. Dislikes unnecessary things. Loves making friends but rarely shows it. Daring and stubborn. Ambitious. Realizing dreams and hopes. Sharp. Loves entertainment and leisure. Romantic on the inside not outside. Superstitious and ludicrous. Spendthrift. Tries to learn to show emotions.

These are NOT all true about me (most of them aren't) but I thought they were hilarious...

You Know You're Addicted to Alias When...

At every fast food joint you go to, you order "the special, no pickles" regardless of the fact that you LIKE pickles.

You believe wearing a colorful wig and tight clothing can help you get away with anything.

You check the sides of old book pages for Russian characters.

Every time you see a black Mercedes, it reminds you of Sark.

You notice every Ford Focus on the road.

You use the phrase "There are just so many problems with this..." at every possible opportunity.

You have suspicions that your spouse may actually be a double.

Your non- Alias obsessed friends (like you have any of those left! Hah!) refuse to talk to you about Italians, prophecies, pickles, wigs, parent/daughter relationships, spies or anything else that might lead to a discussion about Alias.

You actually BUY a blue Ford Focus. (With gold rims, of course)

You wonder if Sark actually could be Irina's son.

You develop opinions and theories about this and other unanswered facets of the show, and spend a large amount of time formulating arguments for both sides of the debate...

The main question you ask yourself shopping is "Would Sydney wear something like this?"

You have seen every episode. Ever. More than 5 times a piece.

You went to see Daredevil just for Jennifer Garner.

You flip out when you see Michael Vartan in One Hour Photo married to someone else.

The mention of weddings, rings, or two years just gets you incredibly ticked off.

After getting a bad grade on a paper you tell your friend about your professor saying "legally he's right, ethically he's an ass."

If the topic of TV shows comes up, you automatically ask the person "Do you watch Alias?" and if they say they've never heard of it... you immediately end the conversation.

You hear the songs played in the show.. and you instinctively listen for the lines of the characters.. and know precisely when their lines occurred in the song.

Your history teacher mentions something about the KGB.. and you suddenly think "Irina?"

You have a codename that people actually call you by.

You think having no first name is a perfectly acceptable thing.

Old Asian men in wheelchairs creep you out.

You will never view epoxy in the same way again.

You find yourself trying to find good, compelling reasons to sway your significant other that your next child/pet should be named "Irina" or "Sydney."

You feel aggravated and insulted when you watch the episode of "Frasier" where Victor Garber plays Dr. Crane's British butler. ("Years of agent training and experience, wasted...")

You feel a strange urge to bite Mike Tyson's ear off every time you think of "Jimmy Kimmel Live."

Whenever you hear a truly interesting song, you immediately think of how that song would fit into a scene from Alias.

You find yourself criticizing the REAL CIA based solely on your knowledge of Alias.

You think Jerry Springer's guests have boring, uncomplicated family/friend relationships and easy, simple-to-fix personal problems.

You become incredibly irritated when people say, "That girl Sydney, doesn't she really report to someone else?" and can tell them exactly how many episodes behind the times they are.

You begin fantasizing about planting listening devices on your significant other's work clothes, just to see if you can find anything exciting/spy-worthy.

You know what J/I, S/V, S/W, Sarkney, Slark, slash, and shipper are, and have opinions on all of them.

Every time you hear the Nokia ringtone, you get excited even though there's no way it could be Vaughn.

You look for air vents you could crawl into incase of an emergency.

On Monday morning instead of saying "hello" to your friend you just say "Did you SEE VAUGHN'S BOXERS???"

The only people you have on your AIM buddy list are people you've met through Alias

When you begin to doze off in history class and only snap back to attention when the teacher uses the words "Alliance" or "Covenant."

You record every episode, then go out and buy the DVDs as well.

You dream about Irina Derevko at least once a week.

Sweiss does not sound like a candy bar to you

You assume that anyone who wears dark eyeliner is evil.

You meet a nice person and immediately become suspicious of their motives.

You constantly try to figure out ways to get Jack and Irina back together.

You actually get these jokes and pass them on to other friends who are addicted to Alias.

I love Edward Scissorhands! [Dec. 29th, 2004|10:13 pm]

[listening |If You're Gone - Matchbox Twenty]

- Edward Scissorhands

Dude, I just watched that movie tonight and I LOVE IT! It's soooo good (anyone wanna buy it for me?). And I sorta like the general message. Suburbia is evil, and originality does amazing things... oh yeah. Power to us freaks.

And Edward is SOOOOO cute. In a little kids way, not a hot guys way. But he is. And his sculptures and hairdos and stuff are the coolest things ever, I swear.
